Indiana University's academic press has started putting books and journals online. Indiana University Press officials say the new IU Press Online will give scholars, libraries and the public the opportunity to read IU Press books and journals online from any Internet-accessible computer or handheld device like the iPhone.
Readers can subscribe to collections or buy single titles.
Publications in five subject areas are available online: African studies, African American and diaspora studies; Jewish and Holocaust studies; philosophy; and Russian, East European and Eurasian studies. IU Press is adding music and religious studies publications over the summer.
